Abstract
The core of MEDAS (the Medical Emergency Decision Assistance System) is the Intelligent Medical Record, a multi-encounter database, with modules that carry out diagnostic inference, test selection, and progress note generation. Implementation of test ordering and test tracking for this system requires the addition of more in-telligence to handle problems of knowledge base organization and machine learning. We would also like to find an intelligent solution to the problem of recording legal "signatures."
